Hebrew media reveals direct hit on drone factory from Iranian missile attack
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper revealed on Friday that an Israeli drone factory in the city of Petah Tikva (near Tel Aviv) suffered significant damage from an Iranian missile attack that targeted it yesterday, Thursday.
Part of the strike's results were revealed after the Israeli military censorship approved the publication of the news, amidst a complete blackout on the results of Iranian attacks since the start of the American-Israeli war on Iran on February 28.
The newspaper reported that the factory, belonging to the "Aerosol" company, was directly hit, causing what was described as significant losses, without revealing precise details about the extent of the destruction or the nature of the technical damage.
For its part, "Wolorex," the company that recently acquired "Aerosol," announced in a statement to the Israeli stock exchange that it is conducting a comprehensive assessment of the attack's repercussions, including its potential impact on its industrial and commercial activities. It clarified that the initial estimates are based on preliminary field surveys conducted at the targeted site.
According to the same source, "Aerosol's" activities are not limited to manufacturing drones but also include other military industries, the nature of which has not been disclosed.
In contrast, there was no immediate comment from the Israeli army regarding the extent of the losses or the nature of production within the targeted facility.
In the same context, Yedioth Ahronoth and Israel's Channel 12 reported on Friday evening that a building was hit and material damage was recorded in the cities of Haifa and Nahariya in northern Israel, as a result of a simultaneous missile attack carried out from Iran and Lebanon.
The shelling caused damage to several properties, with no human casualties recorded according to initial data, while emergency teams rushed to the affected sites to assess the extent of the damage and deal with the attack's aftermath.
