3 Killed in Helicopter Collision in Oregon, USA
Three people were killed in a mid-air collision between two helicopters near an airport in the US state of Oregon on Friday, according to authorities.
US local authorities reported in a statement that the incident occurred near the city of McMinnville between a Robinson R22 training helicopter (produced in 1995) and an Airbus AS350 B3 helicopter (produced in 2018).
The incident resulted in the death of a flight instructor and a British flight student who was with her aboard the first helicopter, in addition to the pilot of the second helicopter, Sturdevant (38).
Authorities, in coordination with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the consulate, are continuing to complete procedures and notify the victims' families.
