A Brace in 13 Minutes Against UAE Leads Saudi to 27th Gulf Cup Title
The Saudi national team secured the "Gulf Cup 27" final, defeating the UAE 2-0 in the match held on Tuesday evening at "Al-Inmaa" Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, to ascend the podium and claim their fourth Gulf title.
The "Green Falcons" did not wait long to establish clear dominance in the final, as Hammam Al-Hammami opened the scoring in the 11th minute, before Firas Al-Buraikan extended the home team's lead with a second goal in the 13th minute.
Saudi Arabia started strong, with high pressing and rapid player movement, which gave the team a comfortable advantage early in the match.
In contrast, the Emirati team tried to reduce the deficit and get back into the game, but their attempts did not result in a goal, while the Saudi team successfully maintained its composure and managed its lead until the end.
The "Green Falcons" completed the final without conceding a goal, maintaining their perfect defensive record in the tournament, after having finished their previous four matches without letting in any goals.
