Yemen Participates in AFC Coaches & Lecturers Club Launch

The Technical Department of the Yemen Football Association participated on Thursday in the launch workshop for the "Asian Coaches and Lecturers Club," organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) via video conference, with the participation of several officials, coaches, and lecturers from member associations on the continent.
The Yemeni Federation was represented in the workshop by Captain Amin Ali Al-Sunaini, the Technical Director of the Federation, Captain Mahmoud Obaid, the Training Officer in the Technical Department, and Dr. Abu Ali Ghalib, an AFC lecturer.
The workshop addressed several topics related to developing the coach education system in Asia, most notably the AFC Coaching Convention, the development and qualification of coach educators, and enhancing the exchange of expertise and knowledge among member associations.
During the workshop, Captain Amin Ali Al-Sunaini expressed his appreciation to the Asian Football Confederation and all colleagues who contributed to supporting Yemen on its path to joining the AFC Coaching Convention, emphasizing that this step is of great importance in the journey of developing the coach education system in Yemen.
Al-Sunaini also raised a question about the main priorities Yemen should focus on during the first year after joining the convention, particularly concerning the development of coach educators. The AFC Technical Director provided clarifications on this matter, stressing the importance of continuing to develop the coach education system and leveraging the cooperation and development opportunities offered by the convention.
The participation of the Technical Department in these events is part of the Yemen Football Association's efforts to keep pace with Asian developments in coach education and to benefit from modern expertise and practices, contributing to the development of national coaching staff.
