Government Forces Announce 1,326 Strikes on Houthis in 24 Hours in Marib and Taiz
Yemeni government forces announced on Sunday the execution of 1,326 precision strikes against Houthi militia sites and gatherings as part of Operation 'Fajr al-Yaman' (Yemen's Dawn) over the past 24 hours, noting field progress on the Marib and Taiz fronts.
In a statement on his official X platform account, the official spokesman said the operations targeted Houthi gatherings, vehicles, fortifications, and sources of fire, coinciding with the advance of its units on the eastern front west of Marib governorate, with support from combat and unmanned aircraft.
It added that aviation intensified its strikes on Houthi movements, reinforcements, and firing positions, in conjunction with coordinated military pressure on the southern and western fronts, which limited their ability to maneuver, move reserves, and reorganize their forces.
In Taiz governorate, the government forces reported that their units, backed by the popular resistance, managed to take control of several sites and recover heavy weapons and military equipment, while simultaneously targeting Houthi reinforcements and dismantling their defensive positions.
According to the statement, the initial count shows the operations resulted in the neutralization of about 370 Houthi members, in addition to the destruction and disabling of dozens of military vehicles and equipment.
The government forces confirmed that the strikes were limited to military targets, after verification and taking the necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian objects.
