Fire Breaks Out at Power Station in Mukalla; No Casualties Reported
A fire broke out on Thursday at a power station in Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout governorate, with no casualties reported.
According to a statement from the local authority in the governorate, the Deputy Governor of Hadramout for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Walid Al-Attas, inspected the site of the fire that broke out at dawn today in a container belonging to Al-Ahram Energy Company, located within the Al-Munawara power station compound in Mukalla, to closely assess the extent of the damage and follow up on the measures taken.
Al-Attas listened to an explanation from specialists about the circumstances of the incident and the urgent technical efforts made to secure the site and prevent the fire from spreading to other generators and equipment.
He affirmed the local authority's commitment to promptly addressing the consequences and ensuring the stability of the service.
The Deputy Governor praised the significant and commendable efforts of the civil defense and firefighting teams, who handled the fire with efficiency and a high-speed response, enabling them to contain and completely extinguish the flames and control the situation without any reported casualties.
