Factory for Processing Gold-Bearing Stones and Diesel Seized in Mukalla
The Criminal Investigation Department of the Hadhramaut Coast Security and Police seized a factory used for mining and processing gold-bearing stones, located inside a compound in the Falak area – Ring Road in the city of Mukalla.
The Hadhramaut Coast Security and Police Department stated that the operation also resulted in the seizure of quantities of diesel fuel used for power generation in the Hadhramaut coast, noting that the seized items were confiscated and necessary legal measures were taken.
The seizure was carried out with the participation and presence of the competent public prosecution and relevant authorities, as part of security efforts to combat violations and crimes affecting public funds, national resources, and wealth, and to preserve public property.
The department explained that the Criminal Investigation Department has completed the legal procedures and referred the case file and the suspects to the competent public prosecution to take legal action in accordance with the law, while security services continue their efforts to pursue the remaining suspects in the case.
The Hadhramaut Coast Security and Police Department affirmed its commitment to continuing its duties and pursuing anyone proven to be involved in illegal activities, in coordination with judicial authorities and relevant bodies.
