Iranian Official: We Sent a Nuclear Proposal to America via Qatar

A senior Iranian official told Reuters on Thursday that Tehran has sent a nuclear proposal to the United States via Qatar, noting that discussions on this proposal will not take place until Washington meets seven Iranian demands.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added that Washington is currently reviewing the nuclear proposal submitted by Tehran.
US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that Iran cannot do anything related to its nuclear program without obtaining the United States' approval.
He added to reporters in the Oval Office, in response to a question about proposals submitted by mediators to Iran regarding the future of its nuclear program, "They are not doing anything without our consent."
Mediators have intensified their efforts to end the war between Iran and the United States amid fears of its renewal following the US midterm elections. US President Donald Trump on Tuesday refused to rule out the possibility of resuming hostilities after the elections, while Iran is planning a broader response if war breaks out again.
Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said earlier today during a visit to Russia, "We have announced seven conditions to the Americans regarding diplomacy. Unless they implement these seven conditions, we will not allow the Strait of Hormuz to be opened, and we will not enter into any negotiations."
Among other conditions, Iran demands the lifting of US sanctions, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and compensation for the war, while Washington insists that nuclear issues must be part of any initial negotiations.
The United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28, and Tehran responded with strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military bases.
A conflict erupted between the Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah and Israel, which has recently extended to Yemen, where the Iran-aligned Houthis have launched attacks targeting energy facilities, airports, and other targets inside Saudi Arabia.
