Bomb Threats Force European Planes to Make Emergency Landings

Bomb warnings forced several passenger planes to make emergency landings across Europe on Thursday morning.
Irish airline Aer Lingus said in a statement that its flight (EI 402) from Dublin to Rome landed safely at Evreux Airport, 100 kilometers west of Paris, after being diverted as a precautionary measure.
In Belgium, media reported that the plane forced to land at Zaventem Airport in Brussels belonged to the Polish airline LOT.
In Czechia, the official news agency quoted a police spokesperson as saying that no explosives were found on board four planes that had received bomb threats and landed in Prague.
In Italy, an informed source said the Italian Air Force escorted a Finnair flight from Helsinki until it landed safely in Rome on schedule, according to Reuters.
The Rome airports authority stated that a bomb alert did not cause any disruption to operations at Rome's Fiumicino Airport.
In Bulgaria, officials reported that three planes made emergency landings due to bomb threats. The interior minister, according to BTV television, said two planes from Copenhagen and Madrid landed in Sofia, while local media reported a third plane from London landed in Plovdiv, according to Agence France-Presse.
This comes two days after similar incidents, where on Tuesday, at least seven flights and a cruise ship in Europe received bomb threats, leading to airport disruptions, although no explosives were found.
