The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced on Monday the death of a Pakistani resident and the injury of 11 others, following the attack that targeted King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, on the afternoon of Sunday, October 11, 2026.

In a follow-up statement, the Authority said that the injured were immediately transferred to the hospital to receive necessary medical care, noting that the attack also resulted in material damage that the relevant authorities are still working to assess.

Regarding the source of the attack, "the command of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen accused the Houthi group of carrying out the assault," describing the targeting of the airport as a terrorist act and stressing that the coalition will respond firmly.

The attack comes amid an escalation of attacks on vital Saudi facilities, with concerns about the expansion of the conflict and its repercussions on airport security, civilian safety, and air traffic in the Kingdom.
