The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey, as part of the Quartet, condemned the attacks launched by the Houthi group on Saudi territory, including those targeting King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, which resulted in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure and civilian facilities.

In a statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, the four countries affirmed that these attacks represent a flagrant violation of international law, an assault on the Kingdom's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of civilians.

The statement stressed that targeting Saudi territories and civilian facilities constitutes a dangerous escalation that cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext, warning of its repercussions on the region's security and stability.

The four countries reiterated their full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming their support for all legitimate measures and steps it takes to counter the attacks, deter threats, and prevent their recurrence, in order to protect its territory, citizens, and residents, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.

The Quartet held the Houthi group fully responsible for these attacks and their consequences, which threaten regional and international peace and security, demanding their immediate and unconditional cessation.

The Quartet's position comes amid escalating attacks on Saudi Arabia, particularly the targeting of vital and civilian facilities, which raises concerns about the widening circle of confrontation and its impact on the region's security and stability.
