Yemeni Army Announces Major Field Advances Against Houthis in 'Dawn of Yemen' Operation
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced 1,732 military operations against the Houthi group, coinciding with its units' advance on fighting fronts as part of Operation "Dawn of Yemen." It confirmed neutralizing over 900 group members and destroying or disabling more than 287 military vehicles and equipment.
An armed forces spokesman said in a statement published by the army's media center that the operations were conducted using warplanes, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers. They targeted command and control systems, defensive fortifications, observation and reconnaissance points, as well as firing positions, mobilization and reinforcement areas, weapons and ammunition depots, and supply lines.
The statement clarified that, according to the tally announced by the army, the operations resulted in disrupting the Houthis' command and control system, silencing sources of fire, and halting the movement of military reinforcements and supplies.
The spokesman confirmed the forces are continuing to penetrate the group's defensive positions and expand their field advances, noting that offensive operations are proceeding according to the approved operational plan.
