Army Spokesman Announces New Field Gains in Taiz and Al-Jawf
On Wednesday, the Armed Forces announced field progress on several fronts in the governorates of Al-Jawf and Taiz as part of Operation 'Fajr al-Yaman' (Yemen's Dawn), and the seizure of positions previously held by the Houthi group in Al-Jawf.
The official spokesman for the Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Abdullah Al-Nazili, said that units from the 1st and 3rd Emergency Divisions managed to take control of Houthi positions in the areas of Umm Lafifa, Qurun Al-Sabir, and Dahiydat Al-Aqir in Al-Jawf governorate.
He added that government forces and the Popular Resistance achieved field gains on several axes in Taiz governorate, and were able to repel Houthi attempts to recapture lost positions, inflicting losses on them in personnel and equipment.
In a summary of military operations across the front lines, Al-Nazili reported that the Armed Forces carried out 1,322 targeting operations against Houthi positions and capabilities, resulting in the neutralization of about 340 of the group's members and leaders, and the destruction or disabling of 114 military vehicles, carriers, and equipment.
The military spokesman confirmed the continuation of combat operations with high morale, noting that the forces are taking the necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian objects.
