National Team Loses 4-0 to UAE in Khaleeji 27 Opener
The national team suffered its first loss in the Arab Gulf Cup "Khaleeji 27", falling to its UAE counterpart 4-0 this Thursday evening, in the first round of Group B matches for the tournament held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The match witnessed significant attendance from fans residing in Saudi Arabia, who came to support the national team.
Nicolás Giménez opened the scoring for the UAE in the 26th minute, before Nader Sahel scored an own goal, adding the second for the UAE in the 36th minute.
Luan Pereira extended the UAE's lead with a third goal in the 45+4th minute, before Giménez scored again, netting the fourth for his country and his second of the match in the 51st minute.
In addition to Yemen and the UAE, Group B also includes the national teams of Bahrain and Qatar.
