What Did Operation Dawn of Yemen Achieve in Its First Week?

On the fourth of this October, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad al-Alimi, announced the start of military operations to reclaim the remaining territories of the Republic and extend the state's authority and institutions over the entire national territory. The next day, al-Alimi announced Operation "Dawn of Yemen".
The announcement of the operation coincided with a military escalation on several fronts in the country, and less than a month after the Houthis declared control over Mocha and Bab-el-Mandeb and completed their control over Hodeidah province by reaching the districts of Hays and Al-Khokha.
Al-Alimi said that "the transition from the stage of preparation and readiness to the stage of action and liberation came after exhausting opportunities for de-escalation," stressing that the success of the battle will not be measured only by the number of cities reclaimed, but by the return of security to citizens, the return of families to their homes, and the return of weapons to the rule of law.
Prior to the launch of the military operation, the Chairman of the Leadership Council called for general mobilization and a national call to arms, urging the people to rally around their armed and security forces, join their ranks through official channels, and contribute in every way they can to defend their republic and its national institutions.
In a speech on the anniversary of the glorious September 26th Revolution, Al-Alimi also announced the opening of a safe return to the ranks of the Republic and constitutional legitimacy, based on the state's responsibility to spare Yemeni blood, end the war, and prevent acts of revenge and retaliation.
The military operation gained significant momentum after the Coalition announced the participation of 100 fighter jets. Spokesperson Turki al-Maliki said: We are providing round-the-clock air support to the Yemeni Armed Forces on the ground. He added: We are securing air protection for the Bab-el-Mandeb strait and dealing with moving targets is ongoing.
On October 5, military spokesman for the armed forces, Majed al-Nazili, announced control over Bab-el-Mandeb, adding that the Dhubab airport is under the control of government forces, while the forces cut off the road between Dhubab and Mocha and established fire control over it. Hours later, the capture of the city of Mocha, west of Taiz province, by the Nation Shield Forces, Giants Brigades, and Tihami Resistance, backed by popular resistance, was announced; which did not happen.
On October 6, government forces announced their field progress on the southern front of Marib province and their control over the "Thamad," "Al-Qaymah," and "Al-Muqaylat" mountain ranges, Akd Al-Qaymah, Al-Raseed, and the surrounding desert areas.
Also on October 6, the Nation Shield Forces, loyal to the Yemeni government, announced the launch of a wide-scale military operation to liberate the Al-Wazi'iyah district in Taiz province, as part of the "Dawn of Yemen" operations. They confirmed their control over strategic hills overlooking the Al-Mansoura area, amid a mass flight of Houthi group elements, according to the forces' announcement.
On October 7, military spokesman Majed al-Nazili announced the execution of 2,103 precision strikes against various Houthi military targets on all fronts and axes, resulting in the neutralization of 1,860 individuals and the destruction of hundreds of pieces of equipment, gear, and military sites.
On October 8, al-Nazili announced the execution of 1,729 precision strikes against various Houthi military targets, which resulted in the neutralization of 1,370 individuals, and the destruction or disabling of 300 vehicles, means, equipment, and gear, in addition to military sites.
On October 9, the official spokesman for the armed forces stated that more than 2,750 precision strikes were carried out against fortifications, defensive positions, advanced observation and reconnaissance points, field artillery emplacements, weapons and ammunition depots, supply and logistics warehouses, and military reinforcements belonging to the Houthis on various combat fronts and axes. These resulted in the neutralization of more than 1,400 individuals and the destruction or disabling of more than (250) combat vehicles, means, and military equipment.
At dawn on Saturday, October 10, the Coalition announced the destruction of 136 military targets as part of a wide-scale operation targeting Houthi capabilities, adding: We are working to dismantle and destroy the Houthis' ballistic missile network, and we provide 24-hour air support to the units of the Yemeni Armed Forces.
On October 10, the Armed Forces announced the execution of "more than (1,900) direct and precise targeting operations on the eastern, western, and southwestern fronts, which hit weapons and ammunition depots, fortifications, camps, military sites, points on commanding heights occupied by the enemy, reinforcements, mobilization and assembly areas, field artillery emplacements, and means for transporting personnel and supplies, in addition to legitimate and high-value military targets deep within Houthi-controlled areas."
The Armed Forces' media center, quoting the military spokesman, said that "the operations resulted in the neutralization of more than (1,150) militia elements, and the destruction or disabling of more than (180) combat, transport, and supply vehicles and means, which weakened their ability to maneuver, provide support, and sustain their combat operations."
