Shabwah Sources: Seized Arms Shipment Belongs to Smugglers from Radhum District
Local sources in Radhum District, Shabwah governorate, said the arms shipment found yesterday belongs to arms smugglers from the district.
The sources added that these individuals have been smuggling and trading weapons for many years, not just recently, under the watch of the security and military agencies in the district.
They confirmed that the main culprits were not arrested during the security campaign on Sunday morning and managed to hide and flee. Those arrested were their subordinates and some relatives of the accused.
Some sources in Shabwah governorate stated that the operation targeted well-known arms smugglers active for years. According to these sources, the campaign's goal was to create a security achievement for the local authority in Shabwah following criticism it received from some residents after the training camp at Al-Alam camp was targeted a few days ago.
