Civil Service Minister Confirms Completion of Procedures for Cost of Living Allowance for Retirees
The Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, has confirmed the completion of procedures for disbursing the cost of living allowance for retirees.. directing that the necessary arrangements be completed for its disbursement with the next pension payment.
This came during his visit on Tuesday to the General Authority for Insurance and Pensions in the interim capital, Aden, where he was briefed on the workflow, performance level, and mechanisms used for disbursing pensions, and listened to an explanation of the measures taken to organize the disbursement process and provide services to beneficiaries.
The meeting also discussed the investment portfolio and ways to enhance the utilization of the Authority's assets, by taking measures to develop investment management and generate returns that contribute to strengthening the Authority's resources and meeting its obligations to retirees.
The meeting also addressed the automation of retiree data and the creation of an integrated electronic database that ensures information is saved and continuously updated, reducing the risks of data loss or misplacement.
The Minister listened to the main difficulties and obstacles facing the Authority's leadership and staff.. directing that appropriate measures be taken to overcome them, improve the work environment, enhance employee healthcare, and activate the health insurance system, which contributes to improving their professional and living conditions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
