Prime Minister Survives, Two Guards Killed in Houthi Rocket Attack on Ma'ashiq Palace in Aden
The Yemeni government's Ministry of Information confirmed on Thursday the safety of Prime Minister Shayea Al-Zandani and cabinet members, following a rocket attack by the Houthi group targeting the Ma'ashiq Palace in the interim capital, Aden.
The ministry said in a brief statement that, according to initial reports, the attack resulted in the death of two of the prime minister's guards.
The Houthis had previously announced the targeting of the Ma'ashiq Presidential Palace, which serves as the residence for the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and the seat of the Yemeni government in the interim capital, Aden.
In a related context, the Armed Forces Media Center announced that the Houthi group targeted the densely populated city of Marib with several ballistic missiles, without providing further details.
