Taiz launches September 26 celebrations in Al-Mawasit.
This Thursday, national holiday celebrations were launched in the Al-Mawasit district of Taiz governorate with a speech and arts ceremony at Al-Muqbali Model School, marking the 64th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution. The event was attended by the First Deputy Governor, the district's Director-General Brigadier General Abdul-Jalil Gharsan, and the Director-General of the Education Office in the governorate, Abdul Wase'a Shaddad.
In a speech during the ceremony, the First Deputy Governor affirmed that the September 26 Revolution was a defining moment in Yemen's modern history, establishing the principles of the republic and equal citizenship. He pointed out that September is not just a passing memory, but a renewed covenant and a historical responsibility passed down through generations to restore the state, build its institutions, and entrench the rule of law.
He noted the historical role of Taiz governorate and the Al-Hujariah region in the national struggle and defense of the republic, highlighting the national significance of the occasion under the leadership of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, and the role Taiz plays in the nation-building process.
He explained that restoring the state is a comprehensive path that goes beyond reclaiming institutions to building them on effective foundations, strengthening security and stability, and turning the sacrifices of Yemenis into a secure and prosperous future.
The ceremony, attended by several directors of executive offices, social figures, and educators, included student performances, artistic segments, and national anthems that embodied the significance of the September 26 Revolution in the hearts of generations.
