Journalist Injured in Stabbing Attack in Sana'a; Journalists' Syndicate Demands Investigation

Journalist Tawfiq Saad Saleh Al-Qadami was stabbed multiple times in an attack with a bladed weapon in the Daris area of the capital, Sana'a, according to his family as reported by the Yemeni Journalists' Syndicate.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Syndicate said the attack occurred on the morning of Monday, September 14, and that one of the stab wounds was to the base of Al-Qadami's neck.
The Syndicate condemned the attack, calling on the de facto authorities in Sana'a to open an urgent and transparent investigation to uncover the circumstances and motives of the incident, and to arrest all those involved and refer them to the competent judicial authorities.
It also called for no interference or pressure that could affect the course of the investigation or prevent any of the perpetrators from being held accountable, demanding that the relevant authorities ensure the journalist's safety and provide necessary protection for him and his family, given the severity of the attack he suffered.
