Interior Ministry Announces Arrest of Houthi Cells, Monitors Movements Targeting Liberated Governorates
The Ministry of Interior said that security services have recently managed to arrest a number of cells and elements linked to the Houthi group in several governorates, and have monitored suspicious movements, communications, and meetings, as well as attempts at smuggling, information gathering, recruiting elements, and facilitating activities targeting security and stability.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry explained that the competent authorities have detected other methods used by the Houthi group to circumvent security measures, including exploiting communication networks and forcing some citizens in areas under their control to contact relatives and acquaintances in the liberated governorates to obtain information or pass messages and requests that serve their subversive plots.
The ministry affirmed that these methods and movements are monitored and tracked by the competent authorities, which possess the information and capabilities to uncover these activities, track down those involved, and take deterrent measures against them, in accordance with the law.
The Ministry of Interior warned the Houthi group and their collaborators against the consequences of continuing these rogue activities that threaten public security and peace, emphasizing that the state, with its security, military, and judicial institutions, will firmly confront any attempt to undermine the security of citizens and the stability of the liberated governorates.
The Ministry of Interior called on citizens to be cautious and avoid engaging with any suspicious correspondence or attempts to harm public security, regardless of their source or the means used to deliver them, affirming that it will not allow the militias or their cells to turn the liberated governorates into an arena for their subversive acts.
