The Houthi group renewed its warnings to airlines, employees, and travelers against using King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the airport is unsafe and described it as a “military target”.

Saree wrote in a post on X, “The Yemeni Armed Forces renew their warning to all international, regional, and local airlines, employees, and travelers against traveling through Khalid Airport in Riyadh as it is unsafe, being a military target for our forces. The Saudi regime bears the consequences of any operation of the airport ‌and what will result from it, as the armed forces ‌will continue their operations towards it and it will never be safe.”

Late on Saturday, King Khalid International Airport announced that Terminal 1 will be designated for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights operated by national carriers, starting from Sunday.

These developments come amid an escalation of Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia since July 2026, which has intensified this October, with increased missile and drone attacks on airports, oil facilities, and military sites in the Kingdom.
