Taiz Police Arrest Houthi Cell That Planned to Target Military and Security Leaders
The Taiz Governorate Police announced the arrest of two suspects allegedly working for the Houthi group, who were planning to target military and security leaders and stir chaos in the city.
The Ministry of Interior's security media quoted a security source in the Taiz police as saying that the two suspects received funding from a Houthi supervisor in the Al-Hawban area, named Nour al-Din al-Marouni, in exchange for carrying out operations targeting leaders in the armed forces and security services, and destabilizing security and stability in the city.
The source stated that the suspects have been placed in custody, while legal procedures are being completed in preparation for their referral to the competent authorities.
The Taiz police called on citizens to cooperate with the security services and report any suspicious movements that may threaten security and stability, through the numbers announced on the official police pages.
