Al-Ghaydah Airport: Maintenance for Weather Depression
The management of Al-Ghaydah International Airport in Al-Mahra governorate is carrying out maintenance and preventive measures at the airport facilities, in preparation for the expected atmospheric low-pressure system in the governorate, and to mitigate potential damage from heavy rainfall.
The airport's Director-General, Captain Musab Saleh bin Humaid, said that the fieldwork began a week ago and includes leveling the infrastructure, opening channels and drains for rainwater, as well as maintaining and repairing roofs and floors to prevent water leakage into buildings and technical equipment.
Bin Humaid explained that these measures aim to protect the airport's infrastructure, vital facilities, and technical equipment from the effects of rain and to reduce potential damage, ensuring its continued operational readiness.
