Yemeni Community in the US Organizes Protest in Solidarity with Taiz, Condemning Houthi Siege
Members of the Yemeni community in the United States organized a protest in front of the United Nations headquarters in solidarity with the people of Taiz, condemning the siege imposed by the Houthis on the city and the ongoing violations against civilians.
The participants called on the international community to take a firmer stance against the Houthi military escalation, to press for lifting the siege on Taiz, opening roads and humanitarian corridors, and ending the suffering of the population.
They also called for an end to the recruitment of child soldiers and their use on the front lines, the release of the abducted and forcibly disappeared, holding those responsible for violations accountable, and strengthening support for the Yemeni government and state institutions.
The participants affirmed their solidarity with the people of Taiz and their commitment to the necessity of ending the siege and protecting civilians, in a way that ensures the restoration of state institutions and preserves Yemen's unity and sovereignty.
