Woman and child injured, house destroyed in Houthi shelling north of Hajjah
A woman and a child sustained various injuries this Tuesday morning due to a Houthi rocket attack with four missiles targeting a residential area in the Hairan district, north of Hajjah governorate.
The shelling directly targeted civilian homes in "Al-Deir village" within the district, resulting in one of the rockets hitting and completely destroying the home of citizen Adham Badaidi.
The shelling resulted in the injury of Adham Badaidi's wife (29 years old) with serious shrapnel wounds to her neck and right leg, while their five-year-old child was injured by shrapnel in his left leg.
The injured were transported to a nearby medical point to receive urgent first aid amidst widespread material damage to civilian objects and neighboring private property.
It is worth noting that Al-Deir village has witnessed repeated targeting, having previously been subjected to a similar shelling late last Ramadan, which struck civilians as they were having their Iftar meal, causing casualties among the residents at that time.
