Yemeni Ministry of Defense Threatens to Target Tribal and Mass Gatherings in Houthi-Controlled Areas
The Yemeni Ministry of Defense warned citizens in Houthi-controlled areas on Thursday against participating in tribal mobilization gatherings, mass rallies, and cultural courses.
The Ministry threatened to target these locations, stating in a statement that they are legitimate military targets.
The ministry accused the group of exploiting these gatherings to recruit children, youth, and those it described as deluded, and thrusting them onto the front lines in service of its combat activities.
The Ministry of Defense called on citizens to stay away from such gatherings, and not to allow their children to be exploited and their lives endangered.
This comes amid the ongoing military escalation between government forces and the Houthis on several fronts since July 2026.
