Two Sibling Children Killed by Houthi Mine Blast in Al-Hudaydah
Local sources reported on Thursday that two sibling children were killed by a landmine explosion planted by the Houthis in the village of Zobel in Hays district, south of Al-Hudaydah governorate, western Yemen.
The sources said that the two children, Jawad and Mohammed Awad Qasim Yahya Hadid, were killed yesterday, Wednesday, by the mine explosion while they were herding sheep in the village.
Government and human rights sources indicate that the mines planted by the Houthis during the years of conflict in Yemen have caused thousands of civilian casualties, including children, in addition to posing a continuous threat to the lives of the population, especially in residential areas, agricultural lands, and roads they use daily.
