Widespread Security Deployment in Aden as Part of a Plan to Enhance Security and Stability
Security services in the Yemeni capital, Aden, raised their readiness on Thursday evening and carried out a widespread security deployment in several districts, main streets, and side roads to enhance security and stability and reduce violations.
The Aden Security Department stated in a statement that the deployment was directed by the Director-General of the Capital's Police, Major General Mutahar Ali Naji Al-Shaibi, as part of a security plan aimed at strengthening security presence, raising the level of vigilance and readiness, and dealing with violations that may affect citizen security and public tranquility.
The statement added that the measures included deploying patrols and security checkpoints, conducting inspections and field follow-ups, seizing violating motorcycles, unlicensed firearms carriers, and unregistered vehicles, and taking legal action against violators.
The commander of the security deployment and Chief of Staff of the Rapid Intervention Forces, Captain Bakil Al-Khaili, said that the security units are operating according to a field plan to enhance deployment, readiness, and rapid response, protect citizens and their property, and reduce phenomena that could affect security and public tranquility.
Al-Khaili called on citizens to cooperate with the security services and adhere to regulations and instructions, stressing that violations are handled in accordance with legal procedures that protect everyone's rights.
The Aden Security Department confirmed that the security deployment is part of an ongoing field program to monitor the security situation and enhance readiness in various districts of the capital, noting that protecting citizens and their property is a top priority.
