The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced a new installment of support for the Republic of Yemen's general budget, amounting to over 224 million riyals, through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen.

In a post on the "X" platform, the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen stated that the new installment comes under the directives of the Saudi leadership and as an extension of the Kingdom's support for the Yemeni people.

It clarified that the support is allocated to cover operational expenses and salaries, which will help reduce the budget deficit, regulate government financial flows, enhance purchasing power, and stimulate commercial markets.

For his part, the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Al Jaber, said that the support comes amidst the Houthis' continued targeting of the government's financial resources and the Yemeni people.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad al-Alimi, welcomed the new installment, expressing his "great thanks and appreciation" to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, for depositing the support directed to the general budget.

Al-Alimi stated that the support represents a continuous affirmation of the Kingdom's stance alongside Yemen and its people, and its support for Yemen's institutions and national economy.

He added that the new announcement confirms what was mentioned in the recent royal speech regarding the Kingdom's commitment to supporting the Yemeni government, including assisting it in extending its authority over all the country's territories and countering Houthi aggressions.
