Interior Ministry: Houthis Hit Aden Coast Guard with 3 Missiles
The Ministry of Interior stated that the Houthis, on Saturday, targeted the Coast Guard headquarters at the Ministry's Diwan in the temporary capital, Aden, with two ballistic missiles, and the Coast Guard building in the Tawahi district with a third ballistic missile.
The General Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior explained, in a statement published by the ministry on Facebook, that this attack is an extension of previous attacks on civilian and vital facilities in Aden, including Aden International Airport, which has been targeted by ballistic missiles and drones on more than one occasion.
The statement indicated that targeting vital installations and public facilities threatens the capital's security and stability, endangers citizens' safety, and has repercussions on institutions that carry out security and service tasks for the community.
The statement confirmed that the competent authorities are continuing to take the necessary measures, collect information and evidence to assess the damage resulting from the attack, and determine the appropriate measures to enhance security and stability in the capital, Aden, and ensure the safety of citizens and the protection of public facilities.
