Grundberg Discusses Yemen Situation with GCC Secretary-General
The UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, discussed with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, on Monday, the latest developments in Yemen and efforts to enhance its security and stability.
The General Secretariat of the GCC stated in a statement that Al-Budaiwi received the UN Envoy at the General Secretariat's headquarters in Riyadh, where both sides condemned the continued Houthi attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It noted that the Secretary-General affirmed the GCC's firm and unwavering position in supporting the Republic of Yemen, backing everything that preserves its security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and supporting efforts aimed at achieving security, peace, and stability, to meet the aspirations of Yemenis for a future of security, decent living, development, and prosperity.
