Our National Team Coach: Qatar Match a Chance for Redemption and to Correct Mistakes
The head coach of the senior national football team, Algerian Noureddine Ould Ali, confirmed that the match against Qatar is a chance to redeem themselves and correct the mistakes that accompanied the team's performance in their first match against the UAE in the "Gulf Cup 27" competition.
Speaking at a press conference held today, Saturday, in Jeddah, Ould Ali said that the technical staff and players have turned a new page after the loss to the UAE, noting that the focus is on delivering a better performance against Qatar, scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, in the second round of the tournament.
He added: "For us, the match will be an opportunity for redemption. We made some mistakes in the previous match and we will work to correct them," emphasizing the team's awareness of their opponent's strength and extensive experience gained from international participations and major tournaments.
The Algerian coach stressed that the team has moved past the effects of the last match and is seeking to improve its performance and hold on to its chances to compete within the group.
For his part, Yemeni player Rami Al-Wasmani affirmed that the players are determined to show a different face against Qatar and deliver a better performance than they did against the UAE.
Al-Wasmani said during the press conference: "We seek to change the image we presented against the UAE, and we are working to deliver a better performance against Qatar. As players, we have pledged to give our all and perform at a level that reflects the team's capabilities."
He pointed out that the players understand the importance of the upcoming match and are determined to give everything on the field, adding that their goal is to perform at a level worthy of the national team and Yemeni football.
