Mahra Sit-in Committee Congratulates on Sept 26 Anniversary, Affirms Sovereignty
The Peaceful Sit-in Committee of the People of Mahra congratulated the Yemeni people at home and abroad on the 64th anniversary of the glorious September 26 revolution, affirming its adherence to the values embodied by the revolution, foremost among them freedom, justice, dignity, and the building of the national state.
In a congratulatory message on this occasion, the sit-in committee stated that it commemorates the sacrifices of the free and the fighters, and adheres to the values of freedom, dignity, national unity, justice, sovereignty, and independence. It stressed the importance of unifying the national front, preserving Yemeni decision-making, and working for security, stability, and development away from conflicts and foreign interventions.
It affirmed that the path to peace and stability begins with a comprehensive and responsible Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue, away from dictates, guardianship, and foreign interventions, in a way that preserves Yemen's sovereignty and the dignity of its people, addresses its national issues through dialogue and consensus, and ends any foreign military presence on Yemeni territory.
According to the congratulatory message, the people of Mahra renewed their commitment to the peaceful approach, their keenness on the security and stability of Mahra and Yemen, the preservation of its identity, rights, and national interests, and moving towards a free and independent Yemen where its people decide their country's future for themselves.
The Mahra Sit-in Committee prayed for mercy for the martyrs of the September 26 revolution and all the martyrs of Yemen, wishing that God protects Yemen and its people, and that this anniversary returns with security, peace, freedom, and a decent life achieved for the Yemeni people.
