National Team Puts Final Touches on Preparations for Gulf Cup 27
The senior national team continues its preparations for the Arab Gulf Cup "Gulf Cup 27," scheduled to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from September 23 to October 6. On Sunday evening, the team conducted a training session at the sub-field of King Abdullah Sports City "Al Jawhara" as part of the final phase of its preparatory program for the tournament.
During the training session, the technical staff, led by Algerian coach Noureddine Ould Ali and his assistants, focused on finalizing the technical and tactical touches and raising the players' physical and technical readiness, to ensure they enter the tournament at the highest level of preparedness.
Before the training session began, the Secretary-General of the Yemen Football Association, Husam Al-Sanabani, met with the players and members of the technical and administrative staff. He conveyed the greetings of the federation's leadership, headed by Sheikh Ahmed Saleh Al-Issa, and praised the great efforts made by everyone during the preparation period, stressing the importance of redoubling efforts and focus as the tournament approaches.
Al-Sanabani urged the players to give their best, to show high morale, discipline, and focus, in a way that reflects the aspirations of the Yemeni fans. He wished the team success in its Gulf participation, hoping they would deliver honorable performances and achieve results that meet hopes and expectations.
The national team will begin its Gulf Cup 27 campaign against its Emirati counterpart on Thursday, September 24, before facing the Qatar team on Sunday, September 27. It will play its third group stage match against the Bahrain team on Wednesday, September 30, amid aspirations for delivering honorable performances and achieving results that meet the hopes and expectations of the Yemeni fans.
