Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran is "ready to provide any assistance to stop the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen."

Araghchi considered that "12 years of tension and conflict have proven that there is no military solution to the Yemeni issue."

In previous statements, the Iranian Foreign Minister first expressed Tehran's readiness to provide assistance to facilitate dialogue between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Houthi group, coinciding with the escalation of attacks on Saudi territory.

Araghchi's announcement comes days after statements by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei, in which he affirmed Tehran's readiness to "facilitate dialogue between the two parties" to the conflict.

Baghaei added, "We absolutely do not want the continuation of hostilities and war between two Islamic countries," calling on both parties to address the situation "through dialogue and communication."

On September 26, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that his country is ready to help resolve the dispute between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi group, while denying Tehran's connection to what is happening in Yemen.

Pezeshkian added, in statements to "Al Jazeera": "We can help resolve the dispute between Saudi Arabia and Yemen (referring to the Houthis)," adding: "We will not be warmongers."

He also indicated that what is happening in Yemen is "unrelated to Iran," adding that his country "stands in solidarity with all who are oppressed."
