Gold Prices See a Slight Increase in Sana'a and Aden on Thursday, September 17, 2026

Gold prices saw a relative increase on Thursday in both Sana'a and Aden, despite slight variations from one shop to another.
The price of a 21-karat gold gram in Aden reached about 184,000 riyals, while in Sana'a it reached 63,000 riyals.
As for the gold guinea (8 grams of 21-karat gold), it exceeded 1,475,000 riyals in Aden, while in Sana'a it surpassed
506,000 riyals.
These prices are for purchasing from citizens, while they increase slightly when sold to customers, as a profit margin is calculated for each gram of the yellow metal.
The exchange rate of the local currency differs between Houthi-controlled areas and government-controlled areas; the dollar exchange rate in Sana'a is about 535 riyals, compared to 1,555 riyals in areas under the control of the internationally recognized government.
It is worth noting that gold prices change from time to time and vary relatively from one shop to another in Yemen's markets, depending on global and local market movements, and supply and demand.
