Djibouti Announces Two Soldiers Injured in Exchange of Fire with Yemeni Boat

The Ministry of Defense in Djibouti announced that two Djiboutian soldiers were wounded during an exchange of fire with a "fast Yemeni boat suspected of smuggling".
The Djibouti News Agency, quoting the ministry, said the boat was intercepted in Djibouti's territorial waters, where it was spotted after being described as armed and carrying several people, and was apparently heading towards the Djiboutian coast.
It added: As the naval forces approached, the boat fled towards Yemen. A French navy patrol boat pursued it; noting that the chase resulted in the injury of two Djiboutian soldiers who were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
