Al-Mahra: Al-Ghaydah Hospital Marks World Patient Safety Day
Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital, on Monday, launched the events for World Patient Safety Day 2026, under the theme: "Safe Care for Patients with Non-Communicable Diseases."
The Director of the Health Office in Al-Mahra, Awad Mubarak, emphasized the importance of enhancing patient safety and providing safe and integrated care for patients with non-communicable diseases. He praised the efforts of the hospital's management and the Quality and Infection Control Department in promoting safety practices and improving the quality of health services, affirming the Health Office's support for such programs and activities.
For his part, the Director of Al-Ghaydah Central Hospital, Mohsen Belhaf, affirmed that patient safety is a shared responsibility that begins with every individual in the health facility and requires commitment to quality and infection control standards, as well as the integrated efforts of various medical, nursing, technical, and administrative staff.
The Director of the Quality and Infection Control Department at the hospital, Mohammed Saleh Al-Tamimi, also explained that the department continues its efforts to promote quality practices and patient safety, noting that "patient safety begins with awareness and is established through practice."
On the sidelines of the event, the Quality and Infection Control Department conducted a field tour of several hospital departments. This included raising awareness among health staff about the safety of patients with non-communicable diseases and the importance of adhering to practices and procedures that enhance the quality of care and reduce risks.
