Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramout, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, directed the health sector in the governorate to raise medical readiness and open hospitals to provide full care for those injured in the missile attack that targeted the Martyr Ahmed Al-Sulaimani Training Center in Shabwa governorate.

In a phone call with Shabwa Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir and the local authority leadership, Al-Khanbashi condemned the attack, which targeted new recruits in the internal security forces with several ballistic missiles. According to preliminary statistics, the attack resulted in the death of 53 recruits and injured more than 200 others.

He affirmed Hadramout's solidarity with the people of Shabwa, stressing the need to mobilize all necessary health and medical resources to receive the injured, provide them with urgent care, and manage critical cases according to their medical needs.

Al-Khanbashi stated that the attack does not target Shabwa alone, but also affects the security and stability of Hadramout and the rest of the country, calling for enhanced coordination and unity between local authorities and relevant entities to address its repercussions.

He considered the continuation of Houthi attacks a dangerous escalation targeting state institutions, security, and stability, stressing that they will not deter the state from its responsibilities to protect its citizens.

Al-Khanbashi called for a unified and firm national stance against the escalation, and for intensifying efforts to restore state institutions and end the Houthi threat.
