Aden's Central Bank Suspends Licenses of Four Exchange Firms

The Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, Ahmed Ghaleb, issued Decision No. (18) of 2026, suspending the licenses granted to four exchange companies, establishments, and a hawala agent, and closing their headquarters, after violations were proven against them according to a field visit report submitted by the Banking Supervision Sector.
The decision included Saddam Express for Exchange and Transfers, the Khaled Al-Aswani for Exchange establishment, the Marta'a for Exchange and Transfers establishment, in addition to Bin Omar, a hawala agent.
