Gold Prices Stable in Sana'a and Aden on Thursday, October 29, 2026

Gold prices stabilized on Thursday in both Sana'a and Aden, despite slight variations from one shop to another.
The price of a 21-karat gram of gold in Aden reached about 177,000 Yemeni rials in the new currency, while in Sana'a it reached about 61 rials in the old currency.
As for the gold pound (8 grams of 21-karat gold), its price exceeded 1,433,000 rials in Aden, while in Sana'a it surpassed 491,000 rials.
These prices are for purchasing gold from citizens, while they are slightly higher when sold to customers, as a profit margin is calculated for each gram of the yellow metal.
The exchange rate of the local currency differs between Houthi-controlled areas and government-controlled areas; the US dollar exchange rate in Sana'a is about 535 rials, compared to 1,560 rials in areas under the internationally recognized government's influence.
It should be noted that gold prices change from time to time and vary relatively between shops in Yemeni markets, depending on global and local market movements, as well as supply and demand.
