Foreign Currency Exchange Rates Against Yemeni Rial Today, September 17, 2026
Foreign currency exchange rates against the Yemeni rial remained relatively stable in Thursday's trading, in both Aden and Sana'a, despite the continued rise in commodity prices from time to time.
According to the latest data from exchange shops, the Saudi riyal is being exchanged in shops and exchange companies in government-controlled areas for 410 rials.
The US dollar is also being exchanged for about 1560 Yemeni rials.
In this context, the Yemeni rial has maintained its stability in Houthi-controlled areas for years, where the Saudi riyal is exchanged for about 140 rials.
The US dollar is also exchanged for between 535 and 540 rials, amid complaints of rising prices despite the currency's stability throughout Yemen.
These rates come amid continuing financial challenges in areas controlled by the government and the Houthis in a country facing one of the world's worst humanitarian and economic crises.
