Exchange Rates Now: Dollar and Saudi Riyal vs. Yemeni Rial on Saturday, August 1, 2026
Foreign currency exchange rates against the Yemeni rial continued to show relative stability in Saturday's trading, in both Aden and Sana'a, despite the continued rise in commodity prices from time to time.
Banking sources reported that the exchange rate for the Saudi riyal in exchange shops and companies in government-controlled areas is between 400 and 410 rials.
The US dollar is being exchanged for between 1550 and 1520 Yemeni rials.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni rial has maintained its stability in Houthi-controlled areas for years, where the Saudi riyal is exchanged for about 140 rials.
The US dollar is also exchanged for between 535 and 540 rials, amid complaints of rising prices despite the currency's stability throughout Yemen.
These rates come amid ongoing financial challenges in both government and Houthi-controlled areas in a country facing one of the world's worst humanitarian and economic crises.
